Well we had a fun weekend. Luckily I was only in my rock n' roll phase for a few hours before 'General Conference" began.
Greg and I watched both sessions Saturday with a delicious Mexican lunch in between. I went to a wedding shower in the evening while he went to Priesthood. He loved having Denton and Clayton to sit with. Clayton brought 9 of his friends down from DC to stay overnight and spend the day with us "eating" and watching conference. We stayed up late playing games.....then got up to our traditional "sourdough" pancake breakfast made by Greg. Denton, Riss and the kids came over too. We had a great time having them all. They are all such nice kids and is always fun for us to have them come. We hope they will come again. We had a delicious gourmet dinner at Denton's today between sessions for Baby Rocky's 1 yr. birthday.....will have to post those pictures later. Everyone said it was one of the best meals they had this year. YSA's really appreciate home cooked food.......and homemade banana bread.
Conference was great. It was neat to witness the solemn assembly and see the mantle fall on President Monson. Greg thought priesthood was exceptional last night. I love how seamless the transition is in the church at all levels....really seems the way the savior would want it. I had sweet thoughts and remembrances of President Hinckley but was able to fully sustain President Monson and appreciate the love and service he gives to all. I loved Sister Tanner's talk and admire her greatly. She will be missed. I thought there were many good talks and I am always amazed at how in touch our leaders are with the things we need to hear. It is nice to listen to something you can believe in and accept so easily. It brings me great comfort to have such valiant leaders guiding our church and guiding my life.

Whenever I hear or see something about Sourdough Pancakes it always reminds me of your family and Saturday morning breakfast.
You were the perfect host. I will send more photos from this weekend!
What a house full, I might have to get in on some of those pancakes sometime. You have such a fun family. I hope I can be as inviting as you are when my kids are older. They might just be sick of me by then after being stuck with me for so long.
