My handsome Clayton Tyler Romans!

I love this picture of Clayton, although he is not smiling . He usually is and looks happier than this. I think this was taken when he was hungary and waiting to be fed. Or maybe just pensive and pondering.

Nevertheless, I love his blue eyes. I can see in him ( this picture)
a picture I have of him when he was 3 in my bedroon. Although he was smiling and looking a little mischievious in it.

Dana's Painting

Dana painted and donated this painting for a elementary school that Target is redoing in Raleigh NC... where he and Chelsea and family live. It is huge, and really impressive in person.

He is so talented and has such a gift. I continue to be amazed at all the things he can paint and the versatility he has. What an awesome artist. I hope in his next life, he can just paint all day. Dana, you rock! I have so much respect for your work.

My Trip to Utah

I had a great time on my trip to Utah despite my bad knee. I had a girls tirp with my dear friends Angie and Marilyn who I have been traveling with for 25 years. I got to se my good friend Debbe King. And meet and stay with the Lee's, a missionary coupe from Alabama. I was really worried about traveling but I did ok. We had a wheelchair part if the time. The first chair was Angie's neighbors..her kids play in it.It was made for a midget or a small child and there were no feet pedals. So I had to squish my tiny little derrier:) in to the seat and hold my feet out straight in the air. It was great for my abds but just a hard to do as my cane. We had a good laugh over it. Some other places we were able to borrow one on the premisies. It was a jammed pack trip. I had a reunion wth some of the girls in my Laurel class and another guy and his wife from my ward for dinner. My plane was delayed 2 hours but I made it in time to see them all. A few of them I hadn't seen for 40 years. I got to see my good freinds the Dillenbecks. I got to see my cousins and some of Greg's sisters. I had a reunion with the Virginia girls that have moved back to Utah. I got to see my old stake president from Illinois that I love like a father. i ran int some dear friends t the airport too. But the highlight was getting to see my kids and grandkids in Herriman. They are moving to Arizona soon so it will be the lat time I come to their lovely home in Utah. I even got a crown fixed in my moth by my dear and skilled brother-in law. It was a 2 part thing. Only I would get acrown on my vacation.

I had a wonderul time and it was great to renew ties with old friends. I came hoe fighting a sore throat fro all the body abuse I did while I was gone. Amazingly enough, I didn't gain any weight.
I don't think that has even happened before in my life while on vavcation.

My Utah Grandkids

These are new cute pictures of my grandkids (Jordan and Melissa's) who live in Herriman, Utah.
I am here now visiting them and having a great time. They're all so cute. Especially the baby girl, Tess, who keeps saying to her mom when she tells her to do something: "one second please mom."
She is a riot. The pictures are of Ellie (9), Reagan (7), Maddox (almost 5), and Tess (2 1/2).
I am glad I got to come and see them because they will be moving to Mesa, Arizona in a month.

My Laurel Class at our Debutante Presentation in 1971

This is my laurel class in California from church our senior year. We had a Debutante ball. The older lady in the picture is Delores Kennedy, who was our teacher. She was my escort at the temple and a neighbor around the corner. I was friends with her younger daughter Debbie also. She also flew to Atlanta when my parents were sealed. She is a special person in my life and I still get a Christmas card from her.

I am the 4th from the left in the light purple dress. I am excited that I am going to see 4 of these girls on my trip to Utah next week. We are all 57 now. Crazy, huh?

Lori Regas, one of the girls in the picture, sent this picture to me. They had a reunion in California for many of the kids that grew up in Chatsworth this month. I couldn't go as I had another trip planned to Utah. I will be anxious to hear all about it.

It is so fun that we are still in touch after all these years.

Aren't we a great looking bunch?

We are getting another little girl!

Chelsea just called and told us they had their ultra sound and they are having another little girl. She will be our 12th grandchild. That will be 7 girls and 5 boys. They took the kids with them this time and they thought it was pretty cool. Felix was really sad he wasn't getting a brother but he will adjust. He and Dana will have to do " dude" things as he calls them to survive in that household of women. We are just happy for a strong and healthy baby. What a blessing in all of our lives. We couldn't be more gratfeful things are working out.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding Birthday Party

I had a birthday party for my dear friend Marilyn last night. She is Greek .....and in honor of her birthday we had treats and watched ' My Big Fat Greek Wedding" movie. We had all seen it but it was so fun to watch it again and laugh our heads off. Marilyn told us alot of funny things about the Greek culture and it was really fun to watch it with her. I have been her visiting teacher for years and love her like a sister. The party broke up by 10 but Kimberly and Kalisi and I partied until the wee hours of the morning...and we are tired today. But we had alot of fun.

Grandma's and Granddaughter's

I got to spend a couple of days with my granddaughters these past few days . The Wood's came to town. Chelsea took Felix to DC to work on a special project for Reflections. He wanted to get filmed in front of the white house and a few other things....he is on a mission to get the Obama's

( Michelle or Barrack) to change the bad nutrition in schools and increase the physical fitness program. I am sure I will have a more detailed post one of these days when he gets his project finished. he has an awesome mom that goes the extra mile to help these kids with their projects.
So I got to keep the girls . Leo got to join us for part of the time and have a sleepover. We went to the free movies, Taco Bell, Target, watch movies, did crafts, had stir fry , painted nails and did makeovers with make-up........all leading up to the show the girls put on with their fake paper guitars they made. I helped them print out the words to " Love Story" by Taylor Swift.....the only song they really knew. They were pretty cute singing all the words into their new microphones ( I got at Target today). They will keep them here so they can use them again when they come. They watched Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory past their bedtime..one of the benefits of being at grandmas's. They are finally asleep and will be up early I am sure. Today it was 6:30am. Hopefully they will sleep in a little tommorrow . They always have fun together and I always have fun with them.
