I had to share this..it is so funny. My little 3 year old granddaughter Evie was having a conversation with her mom about safety and getting lost. They talked about asking an adult for help, etc. So Chelsea ( My daughter) said to Evie. " Let's practice.
Now look at the pictures of my 5'5'' blond, blue eyed, size 2 daughter, with her clear complexion before you read the dialogue.
Chelsea: Are you lost little girl?
Evie: Yes.
Chelsea: What is your name?
Evie: Evelyn June Wood
Chelsea: What is you mommy's name?
Evie: Chelsea Dyan Wood
Chelsea: What color is your mom's hair?
Evie: Brown
Chelsea: What color are her eyes?
Evie: Black with a little bit of pupul.
Chelsea: Is she short or tall?
Evie: Really, really tall and fat.
Chelsea: Fat, really?
Evie: Well she was really, really fat when I was in her tummy. Then I camed out.
Now she is just chubby.
Chelsea: Wow.
Evie: And she has pimples ( she meant freckles)
So Chelsea said let's hope she never gets lost because they will be looking for a" tall, chubby, brown haired, black and purpled eyed ,pimpled mom.
It is amazing how our kids view us. She will laugh when we tell her the story someday and then show her the picture of her mom on this day. Evie is a funny bunny and says and does some of the funniest things.

MEN ARE JUST HAPPIER PEOPLE

MEN ARE JUST HAPPIER PEOPLE
NICKNAMES
If Laura, Kate and Sarah go out for lunch, they will call each other
Laura, Kate and Sarah.
If Mike, Dave and John go out, they will affectionately refer to each
other as Fat Boy, Godzilla and Four-eyes.
EATING OUT
When the bill arrives, Mike, Dave and John will each throw in $20, even
though it's only for $32.50. None of them will have anything smaller and
none will actually admit they want change back.
When the girls get their bill, out come the pocket calculators.
MONEY
A man will pay $2 for a $1 item he needs.
A woman will pay $1 for a $2 item that she doesn't need but it's on sale.
BATHROOMS
A man has six items in his bathroom: toothbrush and toothpaste, shaving
cream, razor, a bar of soap, and a towel .
The average number of items in the typical woman's bathroom is 337. A man
would not be able to identify more than 20 of these items.
ARGUMENTS
A woman has the last word in any argument.
Anything a man says after that is the beginning of a new argument.
FUTURE
A woman worries about the future until she gets a husband.
A man never worries about the future until he gets a wife.
SUCCESS
A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend.
A successful woman is one who can find such a man.
MARRIAGE
A woman marries a man expecting he will change, but he doesn't.
A man marries a woman expecting that she won't change, but she does.
DRESSING UP
A woman will dress up to go shopping, water the plants, empty the trash,
answer the phone, read a book, and get the mail.
A man will dress up for weddings and funerals.
NATURAL
Men wake up as good-looking as they went to bed.
Women somehow deteriorate during the night.
OFFSPRING
Ah, children. A woman knows all about her children. She knows about
dentist appointments and romances, best friends, favorite foods, secret
fears and hopes and dreams.
A man is vaguely aware of some short people living in the house.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
A married man should forget his mistakes. There's no use in two people
remembering the same thing!

An Inspiring Blog

I received the link to this blog: www.adailyscoop.blogspot.com/ from my daughter. It is from a friend of a friend. It is inspiring. She is the mother of 4 girls and lost her baby daughter (who drowned in their hot tub). She shares her knowledge, her testimony and many thoughts as she moves through the grief. I find it inspiring as we all deal with life and all it's up's and down's.

Olympic Gardens

These pictures have been floating around the web. They are amazing. I wish I could see them in person. If you want to see all of them, you can go here: www.lifeinthefastlane.ca/stunning-beiing-olympic-topiary-gardens/art./gardens. I missed the opening ceremonies. I meant to TVO it but forgot. I need to google it and watch it. If anyone knows where I can see a re-cap, leave me a comment. I am always amazed at the creativity and amazing abilities of the human mind. Just strengthens my testimony that we are made in the image of God. We have to have a divine nature to do this. Of course, I can only do these amazing things in my dreams. I must be a slow learner. But some of you have heard me tell about my dreams......maybe I was a spectacular archeitect in my former life.... or in my life to come. Not sure I could dream these gardens......so enjoy them here.

Gavin and Gabriel : Twin Survivors

This is a picture of my niece Janis and her husband, Chris. They just moved to Maryland ( DC area) this summer for an intership at the NIH...with their 2 darling little twin boys. The look like the picture of health now......but they started out premature and were in the hospital for quite a while after their birth. They had the twin to twin syndrome and Janis had to be on bed rest for several months of her pregnancy. They had surgery inutero...and survived. They are amazing little guys with amazing parents. They have been down to visit 2x's. They brought another niece, Marin, last weekend while she was in town visiting them. We have been so impressed with how well they are doing with everything. It is alot of work doing one baby, let alone two. We are so happy the babies are doing well and so glad we have had a chance to see them. We pray for their long term success.
