Mother's Day 2010

I had a nice Mother's day. Dinner at Denton's is always a treat I heard from all 5 of my kids and got some fun cards and presents.

One was having Clayton come down from DC and sleep over and take me to
breakfast and spend the day with me. It is kind of our tradition. I love it. We had a
great time talking politics( to Greg's disapproval because we hash it over and over
and over),and many other topics. Clayton always knows about alot of things so is
a fun conversationalist. He thinks I am a little crazy:)..imagine that? But I always
tell him he is a little too sophisticated for this conservative tea party mom. You
know those BELTWAY types.:) He is conservative too......just a little different variety.

I also got a cool necklace that is called " Mother Bird". It is handmade made by
a craftsman. It is a silver nest with little pearl eggs ( 5...1 for each of my children).
It is the idea that a mother bird watches over her nest of eggs. I wore it on
Sunday .....very cute idea and I will enjoy wearing it again.

I got some more fun stuff...scarves, stationary, movie ticket, etc.....
all things mother's love.

I feel very blessed to have such great kids who remember me in special ways.

They are my treasures.
