This is my dear friend, Pam Donlon. We have been friends for 27 years now. We met in Birmingham , Alabama where our husbands worked in hospital administration together. We made fast friends and had many good times together through work events and just our fun friendship.
We have been on several beach trips and to Florida with all of our kids and husbands in our big Ram van when the kids were little.
She is a teacher from Indiana and married a boy from NYC. She likes her wild California friend, Suzie...I have shown her the crazy side of life. Like the time I talked our way into the White House Christmas party. She couldn't believe I would be so bold. But she has found out many times since.
We raised our kids together doing lots of things. Pam has 2 beautiful daughters and 4 grandchildren. She and I moved to Richmond together when our husbands again came up here to work at a hospital together. That didn't last long for either one of them and they went different ways. Greg working for a start-up and Vince managing a orthopedic and then cardiac practice. Donlon's moved to Virginia Beach.
But that didn't stop Pam and I. We have found a way to see each other no matter what. We have been going to DC for years to see the White House at Christmas and we meet many times half way between both of us in Williamsburg. We took a fun trip together to work for Mitt Romney in New Hampshire for a week several years ago. And Chelsea, Chloe and I flew to Atlanta for Meagan's ( her daughter ) wedding the week after 911.
When we meet in Williamsburg, we always go to the Times and Seasons for this delicious chicken salad. It is our favorite. We talk all day about our kids, shop a little and brag about our grandkids :)
I love Pammy ( as I affectionately call her) like a sister. We have been through alot together,
I know her kids, grandkids. siblings and parents, and she know's mine. She is a dear, dear friend.
I met her in Williamsburg today to celebrate a belated 60th birthday for me. She treated me to lunch and brought me a cute present. And of course we checked out the shops at Merchant's walk...then went on to TJMaxx for the real bargins.
I hope we can have many more years of celebrating together. Thanks Pammy for many years of fun and friendship. You become more valuable to me every year we grow older. xoxo

Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-fil-a! July 12, 2013
Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-fil-a in Short Pump with my good friend Debbie Beens. We were meeting for lucnh anyway so what an awesome perk!
Greg was happy he didn't have to go...but he just found out that this may be his dinner tonight :) I doubt he will let me take a picture. We ran into friends there too. Such a cool thing for Chick-fil-a to do. And Short Pump was so organized and efficient. Love that place.
I aslo am posting my 2 little granddaughters in Raleigh, NC at their Chick-fil-a. Chelsea is watching Tess today so she took she and Gigi. I hope Lindsay will post Carter....he looked adorable in Winston-Salem, NC.
We all think Chick-fil-a rocks the world. Go check it out and get over yourself...you can print your costume off on their website on-line. Too much pride is a bad thing :) xoxo

Our 40th Anniversary
Greg and I celebrate 40 years of wedded bliss:) on May 19th, 2013.
Keeping with tradition, we had our picture taken. Greg loves to do this so much:)
Especially when he has to coordinate his outfit with mine...and change once during the photo shoot.
The photographer kept making him do cheesey poses which he hates...but he has to cooperate or look like a bad husband.
We survived it and this is what we got.

Mother's Day Table and Bunting Spring 2013
Here is my Mother's Day table. I have several things from the women in my family on the table.
I especially love my Swedish Grandma Hulda's china , the hand crocheted doily from my Grandma Martha, the hand painted plate by my Aunt Margaret and china tea cups form my mother's collection.
The silverware is my sterling I registered for and received when I got married.
This year I made a bunting with pictures of 4 generations of women in our family. It was so fun to do. It is fun to have both sides of the family represented.
I am excited that the Rosen's ( young and old) will be here for Mother's Day to eat on this lovely table this year.

Chloe Jane's New Begiinnings for Young Women
It is hard to believe Chloe Jane ( my first grandchild) is 12 and now attending YW. She had her birthday in February. The time has just flown by. I can still remember the day she was born. She was so tiny. She still is tiny but mighty. That is what her parents always say " Tiny but Mighty". Here are some picutres from her first New Beginnings. I love that they did these " Stand in Holy Places" posters for all the girls. Can't wait for Ellie to turn 12 in June too.

Denton does alot of fun things with his kids. Here they are at a local carnival that was set up in a parking lot near their home. He said they tickets were expensive but worth it because they had so much fun.
