Rocky turns 2 on Saturday.
If ever there was a cute little boy, this guy is it. He has so much personality and charm. He loves his pappa......and his grandma too. But ever since he was little, he has wanted to go to Greg and lay on his shoulder. Greg carried him around church when he was a baby and beemed when everyone told him Rocky looked like him. It is a thrill when he sees us and comes running to say Hi!
He is getting to be a big boy now and loves to do everything Fischer does.....espeicially karate chops. But he will still sit quietly on Greg's lap and take a nap or watch TV. Greg better enjoy it now because it probably won't last long.
He has a way about him that is going to charm the ladies.....or anyone for that matter. What a little cutie!

Happy Birthday Barbie!

In honor of all the years of "Barbie " playing as a kid.......I decided a post to her was in order.
Poor Barbie....she went downs the tubes like many of us. But she did learn how to use a computer.
It was always brains in the end anyway:)

Somebunny Loves Easter...Guess Who?
Another Suzie table and decor. I have had the same stuff for a long time but I still like to get it out. I like to think of a funny time when my mom came to visit me in Alabama and I had alot of country fabric bunnies and baskets throughout my house. My mom ( in her old and honest age) said " I think you need to lose some of these bunnies...have you seen how ugly their faces are". I laughed my head off. I don't have those anymore ...they were in the fire. Good thing. But whenever I get out my Easter stuff and see all my bunnies, I laugh thinking of her. She did teach me to set a fun table and to love entertaining. She loved cooking more than me. She was a fabulous cook and made almost everything from scratch. I just love eating it all . I think the cooking gene skipped a generation and went to Denton...and maybe Lindsay too. I do cook something great once in a while....as long as it doesn't take too long. Patience is not one of my virtues:) Now recognizing good chocolate....that is a virtue I have. Watch out chocolate bunnies....I am after you.

April Fool's

Lindsay called me today and faked crying and told met she got laid off. I just about had a heart attack when I heard her crying...
expecting the worst. That little RAT. I get no RESPECT:) But I deserved it for doing an equally outrageous call ( fake pregnancy) a few years back. That was after my friend Angie did it to me...then I did it to Denise..then she did it to her kids and on and on. It was a good one that tricked many people.
I almost posted a fake menopause pregnancy today.....just for April Fool's fun.....but then I thought better. I thought someone may not read the whole post and start rumors a flying. I would have to be admitted if it were true.
But next year I will be back in full force with something really good......so get ready Lindsay Marie.
Hope you all had a good day and had a little April Fool's fun...and no real bad news.

Does it get any better?

A man was sick and tired of going to work every day while his wife stayed home.
He wanted her to see what he went through so he prayed:
'Dear Lord:
I go to work every day and put in 8 hours while my wife merely stays at home.
I want her to know what I go through.
So, please allow her body to switch with mine for a day.
Amen!'
God, in his infinite wisdom, granted the man's wish.
The next morning, sure enough, the man awoke as a woman.
He arose, cooked breakfast for his mate,
Awakened the kids,
Set out their school clothes,
Fed them breakfast,
Packed their lunches,
Drove them to school,
Came home and picked up the dry cleaning,
Took it to the cleaners
And stopped at the bank to make a deposit,
Went grocery shopping,
Then drove home to put away the groceries,
Paid the bills and balanced the check book.
He cleaned the cat's litter box and bathed the dog.
20 Then, it was already 1P.M.
And he hurried to make the beds,
Do the laundry, vacuum,
=2 0
Dust,
And sweep and mop the kitchen floor.
Ran to the school to pick up the kids and got into an argument with them on the way home.
Set out milk and cookies and got the kids organized to do their homework.
Then, set up the ironing board and watched TV while he did the ironing.
At 4:30 he began peeling potatoes and washing vegetables for salad, breaded the pork chops and snapped fresh beans for supper.
After supper,
He cleaned the kitchen,
Ran the dishwasher,
Folded laundry,
Bathed the kids,
And put them to bed.
At 9 P.M .
He was exhausted and, though his daily chores weren't finished, he went to bed where he was expected to make love, which he managed to get through without complaint.
The next morning, he awoke and immediately knelt by the bed and said: -
'Lord, I don't know what I was thinking.
I was so wrong to envy my wife's being able to stay home all day.
Please, oh! Oh! Please, let us trade back.
Amen!'
The Lord, in his infinite wisdom, replied:
'My son, I f eel you have learned your lesson and I will be happy to change things back to the way they were.
You'll just have to wait nine months, though.
You got pregnant last night.'

ZIPLOC OMELET

ZIPLOC OMELET
I haven't tried this yet but a friend sent it to me and aI thought it was a cool idea. If you try it before me.....send a review back through the blog comments. Suz
This is what was sent: (This works great !!! Good for when all your family is together. The best part is that no one has to wait for their special omelet !!!)
Have guests write their name on a quart-size Ziploc freezer bag with permanent marker.
Crack 2 eggs (large or extra-large) into the bag (not more than 2) and add about ¼ cup of milk (if desired ), then shake to combine them.
Put out a variety of ingredients such as: cheeses, ham, onion, green pepper, tomato, hash browns, salsa, etc.
Each guest adds prepared ingredients of choice to their bag and shake. Make sure to get the air out of the bag and zip it up.
Place the bags into rolling, boiling water for exactly 13 minutes [we did 15 minutes]. You can usually cook 6-8 omelets in a large pot. For more, make another pot of boiling water.
Open the bags and the omelet will roll out easily. Be prepared for everyone to be amazed .
Nice to serve with fresh fruit and coffee cake; everyone gets involved in the process and a great conversation piece.
Imagine having these ready the night before, and putting the bag in boiling water while you get ready. And in 15 minutes, you've got a nice omelette for a quick breakfast!!!

Happy 1st Birthday Tess!

Tess Annabelle Romans turns 1 , tommorrow March 31st, her mom's birthday. She is a happy, beautiful little girl. We know she is well taken care of by her older siblings. Someone is always playing with her and loving on her. We have only gotton to see her a few times, so we are excited to get to know her better at the family reunion in a few months. We hear she loves to go swimming......maybe there is a little California in her after all. She is adorable and we know will be as beautiful as her mother and older sisters. Happy Birthday to Melissa too tommorrow.

Good Advice

Someone sent this to me via email. Although it doesn't have all the goals I would set ( I do spiritual, physical, social, and family/business) , I thought there were some very good ideas in this. I especially like" laugh more often" I have often said my theme song should be "I just want to have fun". Enjoy!
