More Halloween 2011: The Jordan Romans' Kids

How cute are these kids? They are Jordan and Melissa's beautiful brood. Looks like they are having a dry and warm Halloween in Arizona. Can't wait to see them soon.

Halloween 2011 : The Woods

Here are Chelsea's kids dressed up for Halloween. Felix is a " cereal killer" with cereal boxes glued on him in case you can't tell in the pictures. The girls are beautiful butterflies and a little cute ladybug. Luckily she took the pictures at the park before the rain hit. Aren't they cute?

Here are some cute pictures Chelsea sent of Gigi at her 10 month photo shoot. Click on the link to see them all. They celebrate her birthday every month. This i
s what she said about this month:

Marjorie's 10 month birthday was not without celebration last Friday. She woke up to a waffle smorgasbord prepared by Felix, a photo shoot with Evie (who got to miss the bus and play with her for an extra half hour before going carpool to school), and a nice long stroller expedition. That afternoon the fun continued at Chick-fil-a before a costume change and jump rope show downtown. We obviously can't get enough of her little (and often awkwardly big) smile.

She is so adorable and we are all enjoying her so much. We can't wait for Lindsay's new baby boy to join our family too. We are blessed with such beautiful and sweet grandchildren. Each one is so unique and special.

Grandparents Camp October 2011

We just finished having grandparents camp this past weekend. It was Felix and Reagan's turn. We were sad Leo couldn't come. But we had a great time and did so many things. Here are some of the pictures and descriptions of what we did.Reagan arrived first. Jordan dropped her off on his way to do some work in Richmond. We had a few hours to kill before Felix got here..so we went to the library to pick out some Halloween books and movies they could read and watch during their stay. We had fun. I think they watched all the movies but never read any books...we were too busy. Reagan and i stopped for a little "Dollar Tree" fun on the way home.

Then Felix, Chelsea and Marjorie arrived.

Reagan got to pick our lunch place.... Wendy's. Grandpa and I took the to lunch while Chelsea and Denton went to lunch.

After lunch, they had a really fun time with Aunt Chelsea and Gigi going to the science and children's museum. Chelsea wanted to have a chance to spend some time with them. She got them back just in time for our art project. We went on the deck to open presents and make out collages.

Then we started making our Halloween dinner for the family. We made yummy chicken, mashed potatoes, carrots, salad, rolls, punch and a ghost cake for dessert. We named everything something gross and scary. We had a fun candlelight dinner with everybody.

Then the kids got to watch a fun movie before bed. They got lots of candy....the rule was they just had to throw their wrappers away but could have candy whenever they wanted :) Felix especially liked that rule.

The next day we had waffles for breakfast before we headed out on our history tour.We saw all the monuments, the Capitol, the Jefferson hotel. St john's church and several other things. Grandpa taught them a history lesson and they enjoyed seeing everything. We played the alphabet game in the car several times and they were really good at it.

After the tour we headed back for lunch. Felix got to pick Taco Bell.

The we came home for ice cream and cookies in the middle of the day for a snack.
After that we went to Kangaroo Jac's for a fun afternoon of jumping and sliding. They had a ball there and burnt off all those candy and cookies calories.

We left there and went on our nature event at Deep Run Park. They had fun playing and finding cool things to each build a cool thing out of things they found. We had perfect weather.

Then we went to Pizza Hut for another " not so good for you" dinner. But it tasted so good.
Then on to the Short Pump Mall for our scavenger hunt. Grandpa and Felix against Grandma and Reagan. It was fun and the boys ended up being the winners.

Then back home for root beer floats and dominos.

Finally to bed. We were all exhausted and had to rest up for our big day at Busch Gardens.

We ate Burger King for breakfast so we could get there right when it opened. We got there at 9:30 am to be ready at 10am when it opened. And we stayed unitl 10pm at night. Grandma had a riding cart all day and night or would not have survived. The good thing was it helped us get in the quick line at all the rides and shows...comes with the rental. The lines were so long...almost a 1hr 15 min. wait at everything. Grandpa braved all the walking but was dead by the end of the night. We did almost everything. The favorite ride was the Lock Ness Monster ( Felix and Reagan went on). We had a couple of meals there but the highlight was the funnel cakes with ice cream we had for a treat. The weather was perfect and the day couldn't have been more beautiful. The kids loved it.

Both kids fee; asleep on the way home and barely made it up to bed.

Here are these cute kids ready for church. We had Grandpa's famous sourdough pancakes for breakfast. Later the parents came home and we had a nice lunch after church before everyone had to go home.

Here they are saying good-bye. We had such a good time and they were such good kids. They got along so well together. One of there big things they wanted was to be sure and beat Chloe and Ellie on how many pictures we took. We took alot..some of them are also on Reagan's camera. I think they counted everyone.

We are so happy we got to have this opportunity and get to know them each a little better. We love them so much and are so proud of them.
