We spent last weekend in Raleigh, North Carolina at Chelsea and Dana's. We took Leo and Fischer with us from Richmond and the cousins had a ball. They all play so cute together. They went to Home Depot to do a Saturday project and we watched Chloe and Felix play basketball and received their end of the season trophies. We opened Chloe and Felix's birthday presents belatedly because we missed their party due to the snow. And the kids played and played inside and out. They helped Grandpa and Dana work on the tree house they are building ( it was the Wood kids Christmas present) Dana worked all weekend on it as he is going to be out of town for 2 weeks. Suzie went with Chelsea to a RS event Saturday night and out to dessert with 15 of Chelsea's friends. We went to church with the Wood's on Sunday and drove home just in time for Grandpa's birthday dinner at Denton's house. It was a fun weekend ( except for my bad, bad knee) and the kids can't wait to see each other again in 2 weeks when the Wood's come up for the Ukrop's 10k and Dana's big 40. It is nice that we all live so close and can go back and forth often. A good time was had by all.

Chloe Jane’s video project went to the state level. Her video, "Beauty is My Brother ",
won first place in the 2010 national PTA Reflections contest in her school and then
the district. We just found out that she has won 1st place state level. There were almost
13,000 entries from talented and creative students that were received at local units across
the state. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place State Reflections Award Recipients will be invited
to celebrate their accomplishments and be recognized at the NCPTA Reflections Awards
Reception. The Reflections Awards Reception will be held Saturday, May 22, 2010
She made a documentary about Felix, spotlighting his tricks and shenanegans.
She interviewed him, filmed him jump roping and climbing a tree and learned
how to edit the footage via iMovie.
Congratulations Chloe Jane..we are so happy and proud of you. xoxoxo

In honor of her special day, Coco’s family had a fancy dinner in the dining
room to honor her. They used the good china and had fresh flowers
( beautiful tulips). And to top it off, they had a yummy dinner and had Coco’s
favorite lemon bundt cake with strawberries and blueberries.....
made by mom and Evie.

Orange Festival in the Netherlands
I loved this when I saw it. I grew up with an orange tree in my yard in California.
